How Google Ads server-side conversions work on PrestaShop

On the click that brings a shopper to your store, the module captures and persists the Google click identifiers — gclid for standard clicks, and gbraid or wbraid for iOS app-to-web and web-to-app journeys where gclid isn’t available. When that shopper converts, the purchase is sent to Google Ads from your server together with the stored click ID, so the conversion attributes back to the exact ad interaction that earned it.

Alongside the conversion, the module sends Enhanced Conversions: the customer’s email, phone and name, normalised and SHA-256 hashed on your server before they ever leave it. Google matches that hashed data to the originating click, recovering conversions that cookies alone would miss on iOS and privacy-restricted traffic. The same server pipeline feeds dynamic remarketing with the correct page type and Merchant Center product IDs, keeping your audiences populated and accurate.
